We returned this morning from our weekly Colonet trip. What started as a very tough morning ended up with a bang. I want to say thanks to everyone on board for keeping a great attitude and staying at the rail all day long. We ended our trip with limits of reds, 62 yellowtail, a few bonito and some other rockcod to go along with it. We are running for sure this Friday night come on down and check out what we are doing. ... See MoreSee Less

We finally have some stable weather and flat calm seas! Let’s get down there and catch some of those yellows that have been roaming around the Colonet area. If you’re coming out with us bring heavy jigs and a 40-50 lb outfit for yo-yoing yellowtail. Also bring a rock cod rig full of Spectra and, for the savvy anglers, a jig stick and a surface iron. Last week the bonito really showed on the surface, I would not be surprised if the yellows did the same this week. We only have ten anglers signed up so far and we are running for sure! The boat leaves H&M Landing at 7PM on Friday night, book your spot now!
Finally the weather pattern has broken and the marine forecast for the weekend is for calm seas with light winds. We have put a run for sure on for this weekend with only 4 reservations as we speak. The boat will be heading down to Colonet to hunt for yellowtail so bring your heavy jigs and let’s go mess them up. The best part of these trips is that the whole time you are catching yellowtail you will be catching some nice rock cod. We hope to see you on the boat.... ... See MoreSee Less
While Junior was up at the Long Beach show I was down in Colonet fishing. Unfortunately the conditions this weekend made the fishing a lot tougher than we have been seeing. The wind and the current weren’t cooperating like we want them to but we were able to catch our limits of reds and rockcod. The bonito and the yellowtail were being anything but cooperative. We did manage to catch about 20 bonito but no yellowtail. There is plenty of life around We just need a couple of good weather days in a row to make the gamefish turn back on. We are running every weekend and it looks like we finally might get the break we have been looking for. ... See MoreSee Less
